Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree with a duration of 1.5 years. The program
comprises a total of 54 credit hours, structured to provide a balanced integration of
theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
The curriculum includes twelve (12) core courses of three credit hours each, focusing
on foundational and professional education studies. In addition, students are required
to complete four (4) content-specialized courses, each carrying three credit hours, to
strengthen subject-specific expertise. The program also includes three (3) credit hours
of teaching practice, providing hands-on classroom experience, and three (3) credit
hours of a research project, aimed at developing research skills and evidence-based
teaching practices.
This comprehensive structure ensures the preparation of competent, research-oriented,
and professionally ethical educators aligned with national and international standards.
The B.Ed (1.5-Year) program is designed to prepare competent and professionally skilled teachers to meet the growing demand for qualified teacher educators at school and higher education levels. Applicants must hold a minimum of sixteen (16) years of education in an academic discipline other than Education, such as MA, MSc, or a four-year BS degree, from an HEC-recognized institution, with at least a Second Division or an equivalent qualification.
